Gilda’s Club (a national organization) has educational programs, support groups, family activities for people/families with cancer. Eleanor says, “I have approached them about having HopeKeepers because I believe people with cancer need biblically-based support. However, they do not allow any religious programs on their campus. They suggested I hold support group meetings at a local library community room so we have the freedom to read Scripture and talk about God (not just a Higher Being). I am pleased that they are willing to provide an evening with a dinner when we will present an introductory program on their site and they will continually include our group on their monthly distributed calendar noting our alternate location. We cannot be associated with a particular church, but our prayer support is coming from Davisville Church.”
