We like the new website HOPE for Women Magazine. Although it is not related to Rest Ministries, between the name & it’s outreach ministryit is one Christian website we are keeping our eye on!
So we were more than pleasantly surprised this week when they interviewed well-known lead anchor of Inside Edition, Deborah Norville.
Many people recognize her as an award winning journalist & book author. But she also has other interests including her latest project, New Way R.A., a website & online talk show that is devoted to encouraging & educating people who live with rheumatoid arthritis.
She shares,
My mother was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was ten. I became actively involved with the Illinois Arthritis Foundation & helped to establish a telethon for the National Arthritis Foundation. One day I got a call from a woman who knew about my mother’s arthritis. She told me about the New Way R.A. effort. It provides very specific information about not just arthritis but also other inflammatory diseases.
When asked “How do you manage to keep moving forward?” she replied:
Deborah: In large part, it’s faith. I believe there’s a purpose for everything that happens. I’ve tried to learn & grow from the adversities. Faith gives me a calm & sense of purpose. There is a reason for what goes on … my life has meaning … my future is secure. Scripture is a source of solace & a way to meditate.
