Hello, friends! I am excited to say that our web site is nearly back after 2 months of restructuring after a corruption in late 2010. The video below explains my heart, my thanks, and that devotionals will begin within the week!
10 Responses to Welcome and Updates From Lisa For 2011
I just wanted to take this time to say that I am so grateful to Lisa for who she is and what she believes in. I find it so encouraging to know that I can connect with her and others on common ground. To know that people are praying for you makes the days easier. Thank you to Lisa’s family becuase they share her with us. Ministry can be very time consuming but selfless. My husband is the Worship Leader at our church and it can get to be pretty rough at times with the long hours. So thank you for growing and maturing the Kingdom of God through your ministry!
Thank you, Lisa, for such a lovely message. It made me rather teary. I’m excited about receiving the devotionals again. I will reincorporate Rest Ministries into my prayers. Sometimes you don’t appreciate something special until it is taken away from you for a while.
Lisa: The Daily Devotionals have been on my mind quite a bit the last few days. I’m so thankful to hear that they’ll be coming soon again. I have other devotional materials that I use, but R.M.’s are so relevant to my life and that of others with chronic conditions.
How special to be able to hear what’s happening on a video. To see you, dear sister, and hear your sweet voice. I support you in the direction you’re seeking to go with this ministry. May God be with you as you go to the meeting at Joni and Friends, giving you all you need to walk with Him day by day.
I’ve experienced this myself over the past few weeks, with a diagnosis that came out of the blue, and which involved several extra appointments, two of which were a distance away. God paved the way for us, with good driving conditions, etc., etc.
Once again Lisa, you showed your true spirit in our Lord with your beautiful note here. Your words are those of encouragement and reminders that we truly need to rely on our Lord the ALL in our life. Thanks for the tears as you brought to me tonight and for your words of reassurance that the changes that are occurring with in my life right now truly are from our Lord.
May you con’t to find blessings, support and caring individuals to help you in the areas of support and help you need in your ministry. Bless you dear one.
Hi Lisa,
Thank you SO much for your message, your ministry and for sharing your life with me. I feel such a connection here and it helps knowing that I have someone (along with Jesus) who understands and can relate to living this life in spite of it’s troubles with invisible illnesses. My heart and prayers go out to and for you. I know it’s not easy pressing on each day when you sometimes feel just like “resting”, too. Please know that what you do for many of us is so helpful and encouraging. I wanted to write this lil note to encourage you, too. God bless you sister! I pray for you and your ministry..may the Lord give you strength and grace each and every morning, plenty to make it through your days! Thank you so much for caring and sharing the love of Christ with us. What you do is so special..PS. my prayers are still with Joni..please give her an extra hug for me (she [her ministry] is how I found you..what a blessing it has been 🙂
Love,
Kristie
Lisa,
How wonderful to hear your sweet voice and see you describe how God is working in you and at restministries. I have followed your ministry since its inception. You give hope to many!
I’m beyond grateful to see the return of the devotionals. Nothing speaks quite the same to me as another who journeys the road of chronic illness, even if the path is a little different than my own. Many days I am encouraged by the devotions!
I will keep restministries in my prayers.
Blessings,
Dana
Lisa: Priase the Lord for the devotionals. To know we are not alone with pain from illness, family problems, emothional or spiritual problems. Just today my daughter called crying saying her fiance is leaving her as he is too jealous over the time she spends taking her daughter Lauryn to see her ex and Lauryn’s father. Lauryn is 9. Now what? I turned it over to God, I was feeling good and now my multiple sclerosis is flaring up again over the stress. I have a peace once again.
Lisa, I praise God for you and your devotion to the Lord. In the face of tremendous obstacles you continue to faithfully serve Him. I pray that you will soon be restored to “normal” health and get over that yucky stuff. Thank you for sharing the Scripture God gave you. I love Psalm 51:12, and I needed to hear it today. You will continue to be in my prayers as you fight the good fight of faith and be an advocate for those with chronic illness.
Lisa, you are such a beautiful woman inside and out, and a wonderful example of a true woman of God! As always you are in my prayers, for good health and guidance for this ministry. I am so excited about the things that the Lord is showing you. I believe that the ministry is going to grow and that God is going to be glorified!
Love,
Sue

Lisa,
Thank you so much for being quiet before the Lord. It is reassuring to know you are following the Lord’s leading.
