Do you ever think, “I really need to read something about ____”?
We’ve been doing devotionals here at Rest Ministries for nearly 15 years and the last few years are archived here at our web site. That means that whatever emotion you are feeling it’s likely that a devotional writer has felt that way before too–and written about it.
I thought I would let you know that there are some easy ways to find devotionals on certain topics here at Rest Ministries. I think having some visuals makes it much easier to understand the areas on the web page I am sharing about so I have included some images to help.
To see the most recent devotionals click on “devotionals” in the navigation bar (the blue one). This will post a list of all devotionals in order of date, with the most recent first.
To find devotionals on a certain feeling or emotion hover your mouse over EMOTIONS in the blue navigation bar. Then you can pick an emotion you are dealing with and see what devotionals are on that topic.
To find devotionals with a certain word do a search in our search bar. You can enter anything here and if that word is in a devotional it will list them in order of date, most recent first. You could search for the word “trust” or “holiday” or “exhausted” and if there is a devotional with that word in it somewhere, you will spot it.
And we have a new spot on our website with links to many of our best devotionals and articles. Every time you hit refresh or click to a place on our web site you will see fresh articles listed here. Pretty soon there will be articles here that are related to fall and Thanksgiving and then Christmas. So this is a great way to find some of our best devotions on topics we think you will like.
If you are someone who likes visuals we also have a Pinterest account with nearly 10,000 pins, many of them from our web site. A pin is an image and when you click on it it opens up to a bigger picture so you can see the detail. Then you can click it again and it will take you straight to that link. You don’t have to be a member to browse pins.
You may want to visit the board for “devotionals” where some devotionals are listed. Others are under whatever topic we thought they best fit like “relationships” or “faith and healing.”
And then you will find all kinds of our best content under the board “Coping with Illness Ultimate Toolbox.” Everything here links back to RestMinistries.com
So the next time you are wondering, “Has anyone ever felt this way?” know that someone likely has. And by discovering your favorite way to search you can quickly locate a devotional that I am pretty sure will encourage you.
