6 Responses to When God Offers Protection Through the Challenges

  1. You go girl! So very encouraging to me as I put the slow cooker on and ready to vacuum my home from 3 fur babies. One day I will be able to get out and back to walking.

  2. Laura – you surely used the Lord’s strength to push through every obstacle that was hitting you BEFORE even getting to that dream of yours to do the bike ride. I know it is a combination of what our bodies deal with but that ole enemy will use those weaknesses to discourage us.

True, the aftermath can be very had and more rest is needed but YOU DID it and so many prayed you through that it is a testimony to the power of prayer, your faith and determination to let God Show UP! and indeed He did.

Your message today inspires me as I attempt to make some more moves ( literally ) in my life by keeping up with walking each day!
    Thanks!
    Love,
    Lynn

  3. Laura, I know how much this meant to you to ride. So glad God enabled and protected you so you have this wonderful memory – and a story to share here with us!
    Blessings,
    Fiona

  4. Laura, thanks for sharing this encouraging personal story. I love this sentence, : “I told my husband that I wish he could taste the sweetness of this ride as we pedaled the last half mile.”

Good for you for doing this physically demanding bike ride!

My hubby and I are facing a new challenge that we’re both excited and nervous about. It’s a reminder to me that God is not through with me yet, that He has big plans for me. I think this could be the most fulfilling period of our lives.

    Hugs,
    Beth

  5. Such an encouraging testimony Laura! 🙂

It was a privilege & joy to pray for you as you prepared for the ride. The challenges you went through to get to the event probably would have stopped me in my tracks, but you are very courageous & determined. Good for you! I praise God that you trusted Him & continued on walking by faith right up to the start line. Such an encouragement for me in the big hurdles facing us currently. Thanks for your gift of writing & gift of faith. God bless. Lotsoluv Kerryn
