Rest Ministries recently received the award for being a Top-Rated Nonprofit from GreatNonprofits.org .
It was a nice surprise to be notified that we have been given this honor.
Okay, truth? I jumped up and gasped and said, “THANK YOU, God!”
The majority of Rest Ministries functions online. Despite our deepest connection we have with each other, most of our family atmosphere is online.
We have a shared familiarity with the lives we live each day.
We understand the fatigue. We understand the disappointments. We understand the questions–those desperate sighs we lay at the Lord’s feet.
And sometimes, in the middle of the chaos, the center of the desperation, God says “SURPRISE!”
To anyone else, what we are celebrating may seem insignificant.
They look at what we are excited about and wonder how we can be so thrilled about it, because it seems so minor compared to the pain and suffering we have endured.
But to us . . . it is a sign.
A little love note from God.
It is God’s reminder that He notices our heartaches.
He sees our suffering.
He hasn’t forgotten us.
And the day I received this email, that was how this felt to me–
like God sent a little love note.
Thank you for being a part of our ministry. Thank you for taking the time to encourage each other through blog comments, message boards, and more.
And thank you for writing reviews about your experience here at Rest Ministries on the GreatNonprofits.org website–because this is how others discover us. How others are given the chance to find hope on their own illness journey.
So, perhaps this seems insignificant . . . perhaps you need a more personal hug from God today. It is my prayer that He reveal His hug to you in a way that you feel.
But if Rest Ministries has been a blessing to you, will you take a moment to write a short review here?
Those small moments are what turn into big hugs from God.
Thanks for celebrating with me.

Congratulations! So happy for this “boost” for you!
First 2 thoughts:
Yipee-aye-ay!!
How like our Abba, as Lisa & family are in the midst of exceptionally hard times, to voice His approval in this way.
May this find you feeling His favor in this:)
Lisa congratulations well deserved in two years Share and Prayer will be operating for
20 years at times seems like yesterday.
I know for a fact how hard at times this has been for you and your family but God
as usual always lets you and the rest of us suffering with Chronic Pain and Illness
just how much He loves us and how worthwhile this is for others in pain and sick with
illnesses.
Know my friend I would not change even one day of those many years even
when Satan attacked this ministry as it made us stronger and more
determined to serve God.
Congratulations again and yes accept God’s hug
