  1. Wonderful devotion Kerryn! Excellent imagery about those who pray for us and not truly being alone.
    God Bless You!

  2. Wow. Just wow. What a vision! I remember several years ago, when I was very ill with undiagnosed celiac spruce, knowing … Feeling …. I was being prayed for and having the thought that I wondered what would happen when people stopped. Love the idea of the prayers still being uttered. Reminds me of the book “Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe” by Max Lucado, where prayers were light which shone between heaven and earth. Thank you, Kerryn!

    • Thanks Deni πŸ™‚
Wonderful that it brought back memories of times that you felt supported in prayer.
LOVE this thought that “prayers were light which shone between heaven and earth.” Special! God bless. Lotsoluv Kerryn

  3. Thank you Kerryn for sharing how the Light of God overcame the darkness that night when you had the vision of people praying for you.I pray rest and peace in your body, mind and soul, as well as for your entire household.I also pray that you would be encouraged, knowing the Lord intercedes for you always.
A while back on two separate occasions I was praying for different areas of the world.

When I prayed for the Middle East, I “saw” a young woman who had been abused. Her face showed the evidence of beatings and was in danger. I prayed that the Lord would get her to a safe place away from her abusers I was told her name was Betina

Another time, I was praying for New England. My home state is CT. AS I prayed, it was as if I was an eagle. I traveled over each state and Holy Spirit told me specific things to pray for in each state. AS I approached ME, I started a descent that was pretty fast. As I was going down, I knew the Lord was using me to target someone. AS I was going down, through dense woodlands in a area of ME, I eventually knew that hidden in these woods, was a house…a small cabin really. In this cabin, that was miles away from any humanity, lived a loner…a man…whose life was hidden from others…He preferred it that way. He had suffered deep hurts.
But I knew I was to pray for him and what I sensed the prayer should be … that He would come to know the LOVE of Father God.

These two situations taught me some things.

For Betina…( The Lord hears our pleas and will protect us)
    Psalm 91
    14 β€œBecause she loves me,” says the Lord, β€œI will rescue her;
I will protect her, for she acknowledges my name.
    15 She will call on me, and I will answer her;
I will be with her in trouble,
I will deliver her and honor her
16 With long life I will satisfy her
    and show her my salvation”

For the man in the cabin
For all intents and purposes he felt he was completely “Hidden”
BUT God could see Him…God knew His heartache….God was going to show His light to Him
That encouraged me for times when I do feel utterly alone

    • Wow! How incredibly beautiful! Thanks for sharing this with me/us, Lin! πŸ™‚
What a gift that God gave you to pray for them & for them to be prayed for AND for you to receive revelations about further insights for your faith. God is GOOD!! God bless. Lotsoluv Kerryn

  4. Very inspiring devotional Kerryn! Sometimes I feel as if no one is praying for me but I know that’s not true. You can feel the power of prayer! Great song Lisa!

    • Thanks Della πŸ™‚
Yes, I absolutely believe that everyone on this earth has had many people praying for them over their lifetime. God loves us & wants the best for us. Soooo true that: “You can feel the power of prayer!” Amen!! God bless. Lotsoluv Kerryn

  5. Hard to believe someone is really praying for ME as in Maria tonight. That I could really matter that much but yet I believe it with this devo. Thank u. When i think of it i suppose its really quite a list if you count all the saints as in how everybody is a saint related 2 me

    • Thanks Maria πŸ™‚
Yes, someone IS praying for you tonight!! I’ve prayed for you before by name in the past & am right now. In fact I remember welcoming you into the RM Sunroom, there’s also a birthday party that we had for you in the Laughter group there in August! I know that the devotional writers pray for the Lord to meet each need here for His beloved children. So your house would be full of people praying for you if you could see them all! Enjoy! πŸ™‚ God bless. Lotsoluv Kerryn

  6. Such a beautiful picture you’ve shared with us here and must have been such a comfort for you that night too πŸ™‚

I guess knowing people are praying for us, is so much more powerful seen in such a visual way – I couldn’t help thinking about what an amazing mix of people/span of years, that might be – all in one room!! One day we will all be celebrating together in one place – maybe recalling all those prayers that were prayed over the years.

It’s such a blessing knowing that people, some I’ve never met, care enough to be praying for me – God’s awesome provision.
    Thanks so much for sharing.

    • Thanks Fiona πŸ™‚
Wouldn’t it be cool to see everyone from Abraham through to the future of people that have prayed for us!! We will one day!
As you said & I LOVE that thought that “One day we will all be celebrating together in one place – maybe recalling all those prayers that were prayed over the years.” Hallelujah!! God bless. Lotsoluv Kerryn

  7. What a beautiful devotional Kerryn! A beautiful picture of how we are all “surrounded by so great a crowd of witnesses…” Hebrews 12:1-2
Thank you so much for touching my heart.

    Sandra Platt

    • Thanks Sandie πŸ™‚ I’m delighted that God touched your heart through this.
A great verse to accompany it. Thanks. God bless. Lotsoluv Kerryn

  8. Kerryn, simply said, beautiful.
Thank you for this sweet and thoughtful vision you’ve given us all.
    Big hugs. Di

    • Thanks Di πŸ™‚
It was God’s gift to us all & I’m ever so grateful that I was given the opportunity to have this revelation/vision AND to be able to share it. God is good. Lotsoluv Kerryn

  9. Kerryn, what an encouragement to think of people who pray for us. It definitely takes a lot of that “aloneness” away. We who are in God’s family are closer than any of us realize don’t you think?

Your devotional is motivating me to pray more for others, and more earnestly too.

I read this in Lin’s comments, “I also pray that you would be encouraged, knowing the Lord intercedes for you always.” What I intended to say was just that: Jesus Himself prays for us. Rom. 8: 34b says, “(Christ) is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” Wow!!!

Thanks hon. And thanks for praying for me.

    • Thanks Beth πŸ™‚

Yes, it’s VERY cool & encouraging to realize that Jesus is amongst those in the room praying for us!!

I agree that it encourages me to pray for others too. It especially encourages me to pray for our Christian brothers & sisters who are being martyred for their faith, often suffering in lonely prison cells. May God encourage each & every one of our brothers & sisters all over the world who are suffering in any way. Amen.
      Lotsoluv Kerryn
