  2. Karlton, I find it so easy to focus on the problems in my life and forget God’s many, many blessings. Perhaps I should say “challenges” instead of “problems”. When I think of difficulties that way I’m more likely to think, “How will my great God solve this?” and it becomes an exciting adventure rather than a scary downer.

I do love the beauty of snow. This fall and early winter were dry and mild here but we had a lovely little snowfall just in time to have a white Christmas! I praise the Lord for that! And the reminder that He has made our sins as white as snow.

May He continue to use you to encourage others in 2017 as you do here at R. M.

    Beth

  3. Yes, Karlton. That’s true.

Another thing I’m thankful for: Lord willing, I’ll be reading a short story at a New Year’s social time our church is having tomorrow. When I read it out loud tonight and timed it, I felt it was too long. The Lord helped me to cut the first half down to a minimum and it made the time it will take more appropriate.

Ha! I just noticed that I skipped 2016 altogether in my comment above. Now why would I do that? πŸ™‚

  4. Just so you know Karlton, the reading went well and I think the folks enjoyed it.

It was a story about the nativity pageant some children put on for the adults in their family on Christmas Day. They had Mary and Joseph finding refuge in “Bethlehem Memorial Hospital”. Joseph had to stay in the waiting room while the medical staff tended to Mary. A very small child was the “nurse angel” who was to bring the news to him. She stopped on her way as she suddenly saw her large audience. Finally one of the older actors said, in a loud stage whisper, “Tell Joseph about the baby!” She then walked up to Joseph and said, “It’s a girl!”

    I love it!
