There are a variety of ways to connect with other people here at Rest Ministries.
You can connect here at the web site for social support for your illness–and even more so, your emotional and spiritual health. You may even find someone who lives in your area.
Rest Ministries Sunroom – this is our social network and the “hub” of Rest Ministries where you will find many groups for whatever you are interested in. These include parenting when ill, a mens group, women who have an illness and also cope with depression those who love books, those who want to find more to laugh about, or those who like to craft. This is just a sample of our groups.
Find a church who understands disabilities and maybe even illness too. There is no perfect church, but if you have been missing it or have had a bad experience, we have linked to Joni Eareckson Tada’s ministry, Joni and Friends, where they have commitments from churches that have said they welcome those with illness and disabilities.
Facebook – if you find it easy to connect with people on Facebook, be sure to like our page and also discover some other groups and pages that we are behind.
Invisible Illness Awareness Week – Did you know this annual event has been held since 2002 and Rest Ministries is behind it? Each year we feature an intense outreach to those with illness all over, especially on the internet. We usually have a virtual conference and feature a ton of speakers and resources.
Need prayer? There is no resource or web site that can provide what prayer can! We appreciate the fact that you allow us to pray for you and your requests are always kept confidential. You can submit your request here.
The email confirmation for the sunroom is not highlighted so I was unable to click on the link and sign up.
it is still under construction and we are trying to figure out what direction to go. The original Sunroom software is no longer supported, sadly.
Hi Lisa, was wondering what happened to my profile site. Did they no longer have a place for profiles on the Sunroom software? Please let me know.
Thank you Lisa and hope your day is a wonderful one.
