Connecting, responding, Reaching out Requires more Energy, Effort, Emotion, Than the pain sometimes allows, Leaving me separated, isolated, Alone. Words lie flat on printed pages – Unclear, Obscure, Perplexing. Thoughts drift, wander, Swirl out of reach, Refusing to make sense, Take shape, Opaque, Leaving me wordless, Isolated, Alone. Making Time to Pray

"Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat & go on ahead of Him to the other side, while He dismissed the crowd. After He had dismissed them, He went up on a mountainside by Himself to pray." (Matthew 14:22-23) It is a lovely quiet day. I am curled up with a fleece blanket, my cat, & my Bible. It is nice to rest & sip my tea, & relax with my journal. My world is so still & peaceful that all I hear is the cat purring, & the sound of the hawk crying outside as he circles the hillside. Snow is softly falling & I feel tense muscles melt during this gentle & quiet time. I love my family very dearly. My kids are great people, & I am so proud of them!
