Here is the 5th video about Lisa’s joint replacement surgery she had on her left h&.
She is now out of the main Outrigger splint & is wearing (what they have shared as “permanent”) a finger splint to try to keep the ring finger “down” so she has a grasp. The surgeon said the silicone joint “slipped” & can be fixed at some point if she would like. Her voice gets a little wacky at times due to some weird recording issue. Lisa shares how she did not get quite the range of motion that she had hoped for, despite being diligent with her exercises & wearing the splints.
Hi Lisa
Oh I was just thrilled to come across these video on your website!
I,ve had RA for about 14 yrs and a few joint replacement surgeries.
My hands are much worse than yours were and i’ve been considering surgery>
I hope I haven’t waited too long.
Looking forward to any more that you might be doing
Pray that God will direct me to the right doctor and especially the right therapist.
Thanks for the tip about the time of year too.
I hope to skype with you or even talk on the phone with you at some point.
God bless you and your wonderful ministry.
Linda
Linda, so glad they have been helpful and I pray all goes smoothly. I would recommend seeing a hand therapist even before surgery so you know what to expect. Bless you!
