Trust is something that is a hard thing to learn, it is so easy to say that we trust God and that we want Him to control our lives. Then in the very next breath we–or at least I–find it easy to start trying to fix the situation or change the circumstances. Slowly I am learning that the easiest and of course the best thing to do is to really leave it with the Lord.
One of the greatest life lessons I have learned is that I can trust the Lord. He cares about me! I don’t have to understand why things happen; I just need to know that no matter what happens, God is in control. He will never give us more than we can bear, and He is never wrong in what is the best for us.
I am so thankful I don’t have to try and figure everything out or try and understand what or why something is happening but I can rest in the assurance that I can trust the Lord. He sees the whole picture, the parts that I can’t see and He wants only the best for me.
By learning to trust God I have also learned that I can rest in His arms and not have to worry about the future.
If you are struggling and are in pain today why not put your trust in the Lord know that He cares for you and He will see you through? He provides strength when we need it, peace, and most of all He gives us hope. Rest in the Lord today and trust Him for all your needs.
Prayer: Lord, I read the scriptures that say to trust You. I say I trust You. And then the worries all come flooding back. Sometimes I don’t have any idea how my circumstances could possibly be Your best for me! But I will choose to trust even when I don’t know what You have planned for me. Help me lean completely on You.
